HALL OF FAME
FREDDE BRANN
Fredde Brann is the greatest player in Turkey Bowl history. And there has never been another player as equally dominant on both sides of the ball. As any quarterback who played with Fredde will tell you, you just need to put the ball in his vicinity and he’ll go get it. Similarly, playing QB against him, he was someone you were always conscious of. Even though he’s checking your best player it was usually best to stay away from the swath of field he was patrolling. Unless you were laser precise, and a little lucky, he would take it away.
Fredde won two Turkey Bowl Championships (2010, 2013) as well as the MVP Award in 2013. If the Most Valuable Player Award was open to and voted on by the entire field, he would have likely won it several more times.
His athletic gifts were almost supernatural but what really separated Fredde was his competitive spirit and ability to will his team to victory. The consummate Utility Player, he would play QB, WR, and DB all equally well. He would do anything to win and he left the field hobbled or injured virtually every year. As the true standard of tournament effort, he gave it his all every game.
As much as Fredde is revered for his legendary Turkey Bowl performances, he is more beloved as our great friend. Rest in peace, brother.
ALLEN “AK20” KENNEDY
Allen “AK20” Kennedy is a three-time Turkey Bowl World Champion and MVP. Kennedy’s quickness is a weapon, matched only by the speed of his receding hairline. The 37-year-old would leave even the most fleet-of-foot 20-year-old in his dust. The Ann Arbor native is a five-tool assassin, with speed, agility, hands, tackling ability and an above-average football IQ.
PEDRO ARRUDA
Pedro Arruda is a three-time Turkey Bowl World Champion and MVP. Arruda has been the quarterback of several championship-winning teams, slinging the rock like his childhood idol, Brett Favre. Arruda steals championships like his boy Favre steals money meant for poor people in Mississippi. The 36-year-old Brazil native hasn’t let being a new dad slow him down, making his daughter proud with his accuracy, arm strength, lack of knowledge of the English language and general indifference to anyone's schedule or time.
JOSH BERENTER
Josh Berenter has competed in 14 Turkey Bowl World Championships to date and is one of the tournament’s most decorated Champions. He has seven World Championships and is a two-time MVP. Over the years Josh has proven himself not only a fierce and relentless competitor but also the all-time greatest recruiter. He has brought dozens of players into the tournament fold. His game is dynamic, and he is one of only a short list of players able to play every position on the field. Josh’s trophy case speaks to his ability to achieve results on the field. He is unquestionably one of the best to ever compete in the Turkey Bowl.
SEAN EILER
Sean Eiler is a winning machine. He’s competed in 15 tournaments (second most all-time) and stands alone at eight World Championships. He’s also the only player in history with a better than 50% championship win percentage. Sean has a big, accurate arm and he elevates his game in critical situations. He also has personally recruited some of the most dominant teams in tournament history including the 2010 Championship team which is widely considered the most formidable ever. Of course many players question whether he crosses the line between gamesmanship and outright cheating. But say what you will, this SOB knows how to win.
